Before connecting you with an AMF mortgage broker, we ask you to sign a connection mandate. Here's what you need to know — you'll receive the full text by email before signing.
The actual mandate you will receive by email will contain your first name, the type of file that concerns you, the referred brokerage firm name, and its AMF license number. You may revoke it at any time.
What this mandate guarantees you
- You remain 100% free to refuse any proposal from the broker.
- No commission will be requested by Courteo (ever).
- The referred broker must hold a valid AMF license (verified monthly via the AMF registry).
- You may revoke the mandate at any time, no reason needed, no charge.
- The exact text you sign is kept encrypted for 24 months — your proof in case of dispute.
Why a mandate rather than just a referral?
Because it's the legal condition for an AMF broker to analyze your file (personal information protection act). Without a signed mandate, the broker cannot legally process your financial information. It's also your guarantee: a written, traceable, revocable framework.
